This Saturday, February 18th 2023, Pearl Street Brewery will be celebrating its 24th Annual Winter Ball. Festivities will include special releases of new, one-off beers, wine spritzers, sparkling wines, and hard cider mixers along with a lineup of award-winning Pearl Street Brewery beers. Special release beverages include:
Bloody Marty – Blood Orange Wheat – A Refreshing Wheat Beer with a Twist! Brewed with 2-row Northwest Pale Malt and Wisconsin Malted Wheat. Blood oranges provide a subtle twist to this brew. It pours with a thick, white lacy head and a tint of orange. A medium malt body with a crisp wheat finish and subtle orange flavor.
German Pilsner – Crisp, clean and slightly bitter, with a medium-dry finish. Slight malt sweetness lingers. Proud, white head. German noble hops.
Badunkadunkle Dunkleweizen- Southern German style wheat beer brewed as darker versions (Dunkel means “dark”) with deliciously complex malts and a low balancing bitterness. Creamy and medium-bodied, amber-brown and slightly hazy. Clove, banana bread and bubblegum character in the nose.
Wine Release – New Wines! House made Chardonnay and a Cabernet along with wine Spritzers
The evening’s entertainment lineup will not disappoint. From Minneapolis, Porky’s Groove Machine opens the night with their own co-ed, brassy-funk, with some synchronized dance moves (for band and audience alike). Porky’s live show is a blast and the groove is infectious.
Headlining the main stage we’ll have Nicholas David tapping some Madri-Gras themed tunes and featuring Mark Joseph & The American Soul. Nicholas “the Feelin” David brings a soulful, Dr. John-style vibe to the stage. Nicholas was a finalist on the second season of The Voice.

Nearing a decade of trombone solo-ing and audience congas lines, they have not gone unnoticed by audiences and promoters across the Midwest; Porky’s has been chosen to support national touring acts like Guster, Here Come the Mummies, The Motet, Big Sam’s Funky Nation, The Werks, and The Main Squeeze. As winners of the 2018 Wisconsin Area Music Industry (WAMI) for “Best R&B/Soul Band,” they were one of three bands chosen to headline the sold out Wisconsin Funk Fest at Madison’s legendary Majestic Theater in January, 2018.
This songsmith became known to the world in 2012 as he performed in front of hit-making judges and television audiences during “The Voice.” Finishing third, his performances set him apart from the pack. David and his Feelin Band have released eight studio albums and toured nationally and internationally, sharing the stage with the Avett Brothers, Rusted Root, and Jackson Browne.
Mark Joseph & The American Soul
Mark Joseph’s 2021 third full-length album, Vegas Motel, is a highly personal record rooted in the emotion of the year it was written (2020), yet reaching far beyond the confines of the times. Co-producer and drummer, JT Bates (Big Red Machine, Hiss Golden Messenger), and Engineer Alex Proctor (Grace Potter, Dead Man Winter), perfectly compliment the records musical tapestry further solidifying Joseph’s talent as a singer/songwriter and collaborator.
