Pearl Street Brewery Screening Craft Beer Documentary ‘For the Love of Craft’ and Hosting Local Beer Panel

Pearl Street Brewery is screening the Craft Beer Documentary ‘For the Love of Craft’ Saturday January 4th, 2020 and will be hosting a beer panel of local brewers and representatives from Skeleton Brew Crew, Turtle Stack Brewery, 608 Brewing Company, the Wisconsin Brewers Guild, and Pearl Street Brewery.

The craft beer documentary follows several well-known brewery founders including Larry Bell from Bell’s Brewery, Kevin Blodger of Union Craft Brewing, Ken Grossman from Sierra Nevada, Kim Jordan of New Belgium Brewing, and Jim Koch of Boston Beer Co.

The film focuses on small and independent U.S. craft brewing, reliving the early days of building their breweries from the ground up. Produced by the Brewers Association (publishers of CraftBeer.com), Studio C3, and Charlie Papazian. The impetus for the film emerged from the Brewers Association’s archive of photographs and hours of filmed interviews with the pioneers of the craft beer community.

Following the screening, a panel of local La Crosse County brewers will share insight, field questions, and discuss brewing in the area. Mark Garthwaite the Executive Director of the Wisconsin Brewers Guild will also be in attendance to discuss the contributions Wisconsin’s small brewers bring to the state as well as the challenges they are facing. The breweries on the panel will also be bringing a featured beer to be served during the event including Randy Hughes’ last brew with City Brewery.
