$20 adv on the PSB App / $25 dos.

Koch Marshall Trio will be hitting the Pearl Street Brewery Main Stage with support from Mark Joseph & The American Soul.

At the heart of Koch Marshall Trio is a blues sensibility with an amalgam of rock, funk, jazz and country played with grooves and dynamic improvisations. The trio blend the explosive guitar of Greg, the groove-centric, playing of his son Dylan on drums and the organ stylings of Toby Marshall, Greg’s compositions are properly portrayed in the blues drenched, funk, gospelly, jazz-rock panorama in which they were conceived.

Milwaukee native Greg Koch has also forged a successful career as a guitar player’s guitarist. He has been called “fiendishly talented” by author and former editor- in-chief of Guitar Player Magazine Tom Wheeler and “scary good” by guitar phenom Joe Bonamassa.

In addition to his 15 releases on multiple record labels which feature his unique take on a variety of American guitar styles and his versatile compositions, Koch is widely known for his lengthy tenure as an international ambassador for Fender Guitars which listed him in their “Top Ten Unsung Guitarists” on Fender.com.

Opening the night will be Mark Joseph & The American Soul. Mark Joseph has performed over two thousand live shows, created five full length albums and multiple EP’s. 2020 finds Mark Joseph’s release of his new full length album, “The Musician and the Muse”.

Mark Joseph was Inspired and forever changed by witnessing the virtuosity of “The King of Blues” (BB King).  Shortly after he was gifted his first guitar in 1991, at the ripe age of 10.  The subsequent decades, two thousand plus live shows, five full-length albums and multiple EP’s, have permanently written Mark Joseph into the sonic history he was inspired by so many years ago. Yet the blues was the common thread throughout for this Minnesota born singer, songwriter, and guitarist.

2020 finds Mark Joseph showing no signs of slowing down with the recent release of his new full-length album, “The Musician and the Muse”.  The blues is front and center as Joseph explores both his expansive songwriting skills, and his explosive ability to make the guitar sing, cry, or even challenge fans to question what is possible with a pic and some strings.  In collaboration with the prolific and accomplished LA-based producer Steve McCormick, this record is a true snapshot in time, building upon the blues of the past, yet carving out a place for Joseph that is uniquely his own.

The Musician & The Muse features guest appearances from:
 – Richie Hayward (Little Feat) Drums on “Walk To The Water”
 – Stanley Behrens (WAR/Canned Heat / Willie Dixon) on Harmonica
 – John Avila (Oingo Bingo/Lukas Nelson/Neil Young) on Bass
 – Toby Lee Marshall (Koch-Marshall Trio) on Hammond Organ
“The Blues is my home.  A place filled with emotions, the past… an uncertain future.  Dark, light, it’s all there.” – Mark Joseph
