Linalool IPA, D.T.B Brown Ale, and Shitty Lyte Beer in 16oz cans.

Pearl Street Brewery Will Offer Linalool IPA, D.T.B Brown Ale, and Shitty Lyte Beer in 16oz cans.

Pearl Street Brewery will be releasing a number of bottled favorites into 16oz cans. Including Linalool IPA, the only IPA brewed with Northern Discovery® hops. The brewery’s flagship D.T.B Brown Ale and its foray into the traditional light lager, Shitty Lyte Beer.

Linalool IPA is brewed with this rare species of hops that was discovered growing wild by a UW-Madison Horticulture Botanist, who was also a homebrewer. Upon brewing with the mystery hop, he also discovered that it made good beer. It  will be available soon in 4-packs of 16oz cans. 7% ABV  60 IBUs.

D.T.B Brown Ale is an all-malt brown ale, brewed with six malt varieties, its complex nutty flavor with roasted undertones comes at you with an uptown taste. Not to mention it’s hopped with both American and British hops. Voted most likely to be the life of the party, a night downtown almost always includes a DTB. Gold Medal Winner at The World Beer Championships. It  will be available soon in 6-packs of 16oz cans. 5% ABV  10 IBUs.

Shitty Lyte Beer is a traditional American Light Mega-Lager, using fresh local ingredients. Unpasteurized, with a single strain of clean lager yeast and cold fermented.  It will be available soon in 6-packs of 16oz cans. 4.2% ABV – 5 IBUs.

Other recently released 16 oz canned beer includes V|O Haze, and Supreme Fatty.

The new beers will be available in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa and in the PSB Tasting Room which is now open and is, of course, taking the necessary COVID-19 precautions as it states on their website:

So we can all be safe, we have hand sanitizer and masks available, and we’ve gone hog-wild on the cleaning and sanitizing of our Tasting Room.

Carryout and curbside options are still available and encouraged.

Pearl Street Brewery invites the public to the Inaugural Canning Run of its D.T.B. Brown Ale

Twenty-one years ago, Pearl Street Brewery made history when they opened their brewery in downtown La Crosse. Then City of La Crosse Mayor, John Medinger tapped the inaugural keg of DTB Brown Ale.

It was 14 years ago that Pearl Street first put it’s award-winning beers into bottles. Since then, beer-lovers have been able to find their favorite La Crosse-born bottled beer throughout Wisconsin. In Pearl Street’s most recent expansion, they have installed a brand-new American made canning line, and Pearl Street Brewery is inviting the public to the Inaugural Canning Run of its D.T.B. Brown Ale. D.T.B has been Pearl Street Brewery’s most popular beer for 21 years, and will be the first beer to be officially canned on their new line.

On Thursday February 13, at 5:30pm, attendees are invited to partake in packing their own 6 pack of ice cold D.T.B. Brown Ales as it comes off the line.  These brewery-fresh six-packs will be available for purchase immediately.

“Over the last two decades, Craft beer has emerged from the fringes of America and has planted it’s flag firmly in the middle of the mainstream.” says Brewmaster Joe Katchever.

Twenty-plus years ago, craft beer was distinguished because it could usually only be found on tap. Then it made it’s package debut in the infamous 22 oz bomber bottle. Years later, as craft beer became more commonplace on the shelves of grocery stores, it was sold in 12oz or 16oz bottles. I’ve now decided it was time for Pearl Street beers to be available in cans. It’s a natural evolution”
