Pearl Street Brewery Participates in the 2019 Wisconsin Brewers Guild Common Thread Beer

Pearl Street Brewery has once again participated in the Wisconsin Brewers Guild Common Thread Series. The Common Thread is a macro-collaboration created by more than 20 Wisconsin brewers who came together to share ideas and celebrate Wisconsin’s rich brewing heritage and culture.

The 2019 Common Thread Collaboration was brewed at Vintage Brewing Company in Sauk City. This year’s beer is a Cranberry Witbier with a touch of coriander, chamomile, and rose hips and a hint of tartness contributed by a partial kettle sour.  This beer has been described as a “Belgian-inspired unfiltered wheat ale with a tempting citrus/cranberry fruitiness, velvety smooth mouthfeel, low bitterness and juicy-tart berry finish” with 8 IBUs 5.4% ABV.

Wisconsin-grown Ingredients Include:

Malted Scarlett 2-row barley

– Malteurop, Milwaukee

Flaked oats, flaked wheat & malted wheat

– Briess Malting, Chilton

Cranberries & cranberry juice concentrate

– Badger State Fruit Processing

“Top Secret” varietal hops

– Gorst Valley Hops, Nekoosa

Coriander & rose hips

– Hopnology, Mazomanie

The Tart Cranberry Wit will be officially released in La Crosse at the Pearl Street Brewery tasting room on Thursday June 6, 2019 at the monthly meeting of their Mug Club. Doors open at 4pm (Open to the Public). Proceeds from Common Thread sales are contributed to the Wisconsin Brewers Guild.

About New Horizons Shelter and Outreach Centers

New Horizons Shelter and Outreach Centers is the only shelter within a 65-mile radius of the City of La Crosse. It’s a shelter for individuals and families who have experienced domestic and sexual abuse, was organized in 1978 through the cooperative efforts of an informal group of citizens in the La Crosse area who recognized the need for services to victims of domestic abuse. The organization and mission has grown substantially since that time, now reaching out to victims of sexual abuse, human-trafficking, and more. New Horizons is on the front lines advocating for and helping victims with many issues that some people may think do not exist in our community.
